Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products
- Provide knowledgeable product demonstrations and answer customer inquiries
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising techniques
- Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory levels
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Supervise junior staff members when needed, ensuring compliance with store policies
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor and backroom areas
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
- Proficient in using POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Experience in retail sales, including knowledge of retail math principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions
- Experience in supervising staff is preferred but not required
- Capable of conducting product demos to educate customers on features and benefits
