Center Associate

JOB SUMMARY:

DUTIES:

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
• Conduct product demonstrations and upsell items to meet sales goals in a friendly, informative manner
• Take ownership of the customer's shipping problem and offer viable solutions
• Take action to learn all product and service offerings, alternate solutions, and industry trends
• Manage POS (Point of Sale) transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to keep the store inviting and well-stocked
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing information to customers and team members
• Support retail sales efforts by promoting products, answering questions, and guiding customers through their purchases
• Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and basic retail math to ensure accurate stock levels
• Maintain a clean, safe and positive working environment

SKILLS:

• Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Supervising experience or leadership skills to support team operations effectively
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer interaction capabilities
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math fundamentals
• Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments preferred
• Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and inventory counts
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell products naturally
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous for understanding store flow and customer needs
