This exciting role involves working with beautiful plants and flowers while providing exceptional customer service to our valued clients in Princeton, NJ. We are a family owned business for 50 years! Candidate must have a positive, creative outlook with the ability to multitask. All candidates should have a love for nature, and being outside, and have a love for our 4 cats! Job duties also include processing cutflowers, delivery, plant care and social media
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting plants and gardening supplies tailored to their needs.
- Maintain the garden center by organizing displays and ensuring a clean, inviting environment.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on plant care and gardening techniques.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
- Restock inventory and monitor plant health to ensure quality products.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote store events.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of seasonal displays and promotions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail or garden center preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plants, flowers, and gardening supplies.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Physical ability to lift and move plants and supplies as needed.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Positive attitude and a passion for gardening and horticulture.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in horticulture is a plus.
