Role Description
We are seeking a part-time, remote Development Advisor (Volunteer) to support fundraising and organizational growth initiatives. This role will help develop compelling pitch decks and funding materials, identify prospective funding opportunities, and communicate the organization’s mission and impact to diverse financial stakeholders and potential funders. The advisor may also participate in strategic conversations with donors, partners, and philanthropic organizations while helping strengthen the organization’s overall development strategy.
This is a volunteer position requiring an estimated commitment of up to 5 hours per week with a preferred one-year commitment.
Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, philanthropy, or strategic partnerships
- Strong experience creating pitch decks, donor materials, or fundraising communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience engaging with funders, donors, or external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Prior experience in the non-profit sector or criminal-legal system is a plus
