Job Summary
The candidate will work in the field of infectious diseases with a focus on cell signaling and drug discovery. This position involves handling hazardous chemicals, biohazards, and infectious organisms.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
- Lead research projects, design research experiments, collect data, troubleshooting, training and supervising students.
- Collecting and presenting research findings under the PI’s supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of relevant laboratory experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Postdoctoral experience in a related field.

Additional Information
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
