The Carlos Alvarez College of Business
The Carlos Alvarez College of Business, founded in 1969 and renamed in 2021, is fully accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (business and accounting).
The Alvarez College of Business (ACOB) boasts six departments that collectively administer 13 undergraduate programs, 6 graduate programs, 4 PhD programs, 4 certificate programs, and 2 executive education programs. The college supports its students with 115 full-time faculty and maintains a robust student population with a total enrollment of 5,200 students across all academic levels. The undergraduate program forms the largest segment with 4, 377 students, while the graduate programs host 761 students, and the doctoral programs include 30 students.
The Alvarez College of Business has established itself as a significant research institution, earning notable rankings across multiple disciplines. The Department of Management in the Carlos Alvarez College of Business at the University of Texas at San Antonio consists of 40 tenure/tenure track and fixed-term-track faculty members and offers undergraduate degrees in management and human resources and a doctoral degree in management and organization studies. Our faculty and students have been recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally for excellence in both research and teaching.

- Master's degree or higher in business administration, management, leadership, or a related field relative to courses of interest.
- One or more years of in-person teaching and/or work experience in one or more of the areas of specialization including management, human resources, strategy, or other related fields.
- Selected candidate will need to be able to teach on-campus for a minimum of one hour per week per course.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
- A doctoral degree in management, leadership, business administration or related field.
- Five years of teaching and/or work experience in one or more of the areas of specialization including management, human resources, strategy, or other related fields.
