The Texas Behavioral Science and Policy Institute is looking for a Social Science/Humanities Research Associate II to undertake general administration of a portfolio of projects and oversee, plan, organize, and communicate the activities generated by those projects. Purpose The Research Associate will coordinate and support a multidisciplinary team of researchers, from across the university and its affiliates, with teams of varying sizes depending on the research project. This is a fixed-term position lasting one year with possibility of extension based on job performance and continued funding. Responsibilities Support the Assistant Director in researching and writing infrastructure documentation. Assist in scheduling for project Principal Investigator (PI) and for large meetings with collaborators and advisory board, prepare agenda items and follow up communication for meetings. Support the PI and collaborators with travel and reimbursement requests. Support the PI in project implementation and communicate with the Principal Investigator about project needs. Assisting PI with organizing and facilitating interviews, focus groups, and surveys. Oversee recruitment and mailouts. Communicate with research participants. Provide event and meeting support, assist with project purchasing, store and maintain inventory of project supplies. Oversee teacher daily diaries for research project. Required Qualifications Master's in Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education or related field or Bachelor's with 2 years related experience Experience managing multi-disciplinary research projects, involving external and internal partners Experience with project management tools and software Experience working with Smartsheet, Canva, Canvas, Outlook, Office 365, Qualtrics Experience organizing large research meetings Experience facilitating participant recruitment, surveys, and data collection Preferred Qualifications Experience in university setting and working with undergraduate students Experience with project management and organizational skills combined with a strong attention to detail Experience reviewing of research proposals and providing guidance on IRB procedures and policies Salary Range $48,000 - $50,256 Working Conditions Typical Office Environment Required Materials Resume/CV 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor Letter of interest Important for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers: You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
