The Simulation Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining skills lab equipment, supplies, media, computers, and materials related to simulation learning.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical or Associate’s degree in supporting disciplines such as biomedical, medical, electronics, computer information technologies, supply management, or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree preferred.
- One (1) year of simulation-based experience in the healthcare profession.
- Responsible for proper setup, reset, operation, breakdown, and technical support of simulation activities.
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks and services of simulation equipment while adhering to all established protocols. Communicate repairs and troubleshooting to appropriate personnel.
- Operate patient simulator for simulation activities. Operation will be based off of other ongoing priorities.
- Assist and train instructors and simulation facilitators on simulation equipment.
- Maintain current knowledge of simulation equipment, supplies, media, computers, moulage, and materials related to simulation learning.
- Other duties as assigned.
