The role involves conducting reliability testing, utilizing analytical characterization tools, performing experiments and numerical simulations, and contributing to technical publications. The candidate will also assist with clerical tasks and be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of components in laboratory experimental systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- MS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with experimental setups and analytical tools (e.g., SEM , XPS , rheometry).
- Proficiency in numerical modeling and simulation software (e.g., COMSOL , ANSYS , MATLAB ).
- PhD degree in Mechanical/Material Science /Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Conduct reliability testing to investigate thermochemical failure modes, utilize analytical characterization tools to study surface and fluid properties, perform and analyze experiments and numerical simulations, review literature and assist in preparing technical publications and reports, support clerical and administrative tasks related to research activities.
- Develop control software for electro-mechanical systems.
- Install, test, and maintain components in experimental systems within the lab.
