The Coordinator II for Sports Programs collaborates with the Assistant Director for Sport Programs to provide a comprehensive intramural sports and sports club program that meets the diverse needs of the UT Arlington community.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation, or related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in recreational sports or related field.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Prior experience in sports officiating.
- Valid Class “C” Operator’s Driver’s License.
- An equivalent mix of education and relevant experience in similar roles may also be accepted.
- Master’s degree
- Experience in collegiate recreation and intramural sports.
- Experience in officiating and training officials for a minimum of two (2) of the following: basketball, flag football, softball, soccer, or volleyball.
- Experience in league and tournament scheduling.
- Current AHA CPR / AED Instructor Certification.
- Membership in In NIRSA : Leaders in Collegiate Recreation.
- Collaborates with the Assistant Director for Sport Programs to provide a comprehensive intramural sports and sports club program that meets the diverse needs of the UT Arlington community.
- Manage growth and development of the Sport Club program with over 20 active clubs.
- Lead officer training, ongoing workshops around recruitment, fundraising, etc.
- Hire, schedule, supervise, and train around 50 Sport Programs Student Staff.
- Schedule sports leagues and tournaments, resolve sportsmanship issues
- Coordinate or assist with department/University special events
- Performs other duties assigned
