Job Summary
The Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering ( IMSE ) at The University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for two tenure/tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate Professor/Full Professor levels. Both candidates will be expected to teach courses in engineering management, but their research portfolios may more broadly include engineering management, systems engineering, and/or operations research. Ideal candidates will also possess a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and the ability to secure and execute externally funded research.
Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- A Ph. D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering or a closely related field.
- Evidence of the ability to teach and develop courses in engineering management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Evidence of leading and developing diverse teams to solve complex engineering problems.
- Experience conducting research in engineering management, systems engineering, and/or operations research.
- Professional experience in engineering management, systems engineering, and/or operations research.
- Experience developing courses in engineering management.
- Ability to build successful relationships with industry.
- Develop and teach courses to prepare the workforce for careers in engineering management.
- Lead research projects in engineering management, systems engineering, and/or operations research with researchers at UT Arlington, the Dallas/Fort Worth region, and across the country.
- Establish and maintain a research program through externally funded programs.
- Assist in directing UT Arlington’s vision in engineering management, systems engineering, and/or operations research.
