Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
UNCG’s Division of Enrollment Management consists of five departments that work across the student lifecycle to facilitate and support recruitment and retention. Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Enrollment Communications, the University Registrar’s Office, and a centralized business operations unit report to the division. The Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management, along with the Associate Vice Chancellor, provides leadership and supervision for these units (each headed by a Director/Registrar) and also provides strategic enrollment management for the institution as a whole, regularly interacting with and coordinating the enrollment initiatives of the Graduate School, Global Engagement Office, Lloyd International Honors College, and academic schools and colleges. Overseeing the institution’s enrollment management plan, the Vice Chancellor works closely with senior leadership and others to establish enrollment targets and estimate annual resource generation tied to enrollment. The Vice Chancellor works closely with the Chancellor to facilitate an environment where enrollment management and student success are closely tied to promote student retention and graduation.
Position Summary
Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment, reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor of Enrollment plays a critical leadership role within the division by serving as second in command for the division and serving as the primary leader in the absence of the Vice Chancellor. In partnership with the VCEM, the AVC will lead the development, execution, and assessment of enrollment and financial aid strategies for all new undergraduates and will work directly with the Deans on enrollment planning at the College/Unit/School level. The AVC will be responsible for guiding a state-of-the art new student recruitment approach that includes selecting and implementing enrollment technologies that advance the ability to make data-informed decisions and measurable resource planning. This includes yield optimization modeling, financial aid leveraging optimization, CPOS implementation, and strategic communication across audience types. The AVC will lead metrics-driven key decisions related to the development and execution of enrollment plans and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a relevant Master’s degree and 10 years of progressive experience in admissions and enrollment management.
