Position Description:
The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is conducting a search for a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty member in the Department of Endodontics.
Major responsibilities include:
clinical and didactic pre- and post-doctoral teaching in contemporary endodontics;
participation in the collegiate intramural dental service plan;
research and/or scholarly activity; and
service.
PLEASE NOTE: If your H-1B petition is subject to the September 19, 2025, Presidential Proclamation, please note that the department will NOT cover the $100,000 payment associated with H-1B sponsorship, either at the time of hire or for international travel purposes. Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
Education Requirement:
Applicants must have:
DDS/DMD or equivalent; and
by time of appointment, completion of an advanced education program in Endodontics.
Desirable Qualifications:
HIGHLY Desirable qualifications:
completion of CODA/CDAC-accredited advanced education program in Endodontics; and
ABE Board eligibility or Board certification.
Desirable qualifications:
M.S. and/or Ph.D. in Oral Science;
record of publication and scholarship; and
clinical teaching experience.
