The Senior Marketing and Public Relations Professional works with the Tifton Campus Conference Center director to create and utilize marketing programs and strategies to increase clientele. This role creates and maintains customer databases to use in the marketing program; consults and negotiates contracts with clients; provides clientele engagement, communications, and consultation services; participates and leads in relevant conference planning committees and meetings; manages the full onsite execution of highly complex events from start to finish; and works with the director on conference budget management and business recaps.
They also supervise and train new conference planners and conduct their annual performance evaluations.

Marketing the Conference Center
- Performs market research and works with the Director and UGA CAES to develop and implement consistent, cohesive marketing plans.
- Supports center Director in all aspects of marketing by identifying and recruiting potential clients.
- Contacts potential clients for recruiting purposes.
- Engages in marketing and outreach activities to promote the conference center to clientele.
- Meets with and advises clients on the various promotions that are available at the conference center.
- Works with the local tourism board and Chamber of Commerce in promoting the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center to new industry and residents who are moving to the state of Georgia, specifically Tifton and surrounding areas.
- Compiles and manages client mailing and email databases to assist in implementing marketing programs that will target specific clientele, eventually reaching all markets with special event offerings that most closely relates to their particular business needs.
