## SUMMARY
UD is currently seeking a Reference Librarian who will provide reference and informational services to students, faculty, staff, and community patrons. This position will provide research assistance to students, staff, and faculty, conduct bibliographic instruction for students, and create electronic course reserves for faculty.
## PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
##
Work with patrons (students, faculty, staff) in person and electronic settings to support information seeking and to provide research assistance.
Develop subject and course guides for purposes of instruction.
Staff the reference desk during scheduled hours and for scheduled consultations.
Coordinate with faculty to provide course-based library instruction sessions in support of the curriculum of the university.
Assist with keeping accurate reference statistics. Prepare statistical reports necessary for library and university administration.
Create electronic course reserves for faculty, ensuring compliance with copyright.
Advise faculty in matters concerning copyright compliance for instructional materials.
Work closely with the Dean and Director of Libraries and Research, Acquisitions, and other campus stakeholders in the area of collection development, assisting in the selection of appropriate print and electronic resources that support the educational mission of the library and the curriculum of the university.

## MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Masters degree from an ALA-accredited Library Science program.
## PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least one (1) year of experience in library reference assistance in higher education.

Dependability and reliability are essential, as this position entails scheduled shifts.
This is a Library Faculty, non-tenured position, reporting to the Dean and Director of Libraries and Research.
