SUMMARY
The Production Technician (Floater) supports both Flower Packaging & Edibles Packaging operations in a fast-paced cannabis production environment. This role is essential in ensuring that finished products meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, & compliance. As a floater, you will work where needed each day, gaining cross-functional experience while supporting the facility’s production goals.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Flower Packaging Responsibilities:
- Perform post-harvest and packaging tasks including weighing, filling, labeling, sealing, and verifying product accuracy.
- Inspect flower for quality and defects using established procedures.
- Operate, clean, and store equipment such as scales, sealers, and trimming machines.
- Ensure all packaging and labeling aligns with company and compliance standards.
Edibles Packaging Responsibilities:
- Assist in the packaging of infused products.
- Operate and clean packaging machines and tools.
- Accurately weigh, portion, label, and seal edible products.
- Maintain strict sanitation and food-safe standards within the production area.
Cross-Functional Duties:
- Receive, unpack, organize, and restock supplies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in company systems.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Support other departments when needed and collaborate with teams such as Quality, Compliance, and Production Leadership.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING
Required:
*Must be able/willing to pay $120 credentialing fee up front (LiveScan Fingerprinting & Drug Screen)
- Must be 21 or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid government-issued photo ID & valid 2nd form
- Ability to take direction and communicate clearly
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to stay focused, task-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with accuracy
- Basic measurement, math, and data entry proficiency
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Prior cannabis or food/production packaging experience preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, or crouch as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs
- Ability to work in bright light
- Ability to wear PPE for extended periods
- Exposure to cannabis odor and plant material (potential allergens)
- Exposure to moderate heat, humidity, and production-style environments
- Dexterous hand and finger movement for small, repetitive tasks
