Job purpose of Public area cleaner is responsible for the cleaning of all public areas to include entrances, doorways, sidewalks, public restrooms and lobby while providing great customer service.
Qualifications:Job Requirements:
Key duties/responsibilities of Public area/space cleaner:
Sweeps, mops and vacuums floors.
Polishes wood, marble and other materials in public view. Cleans windows.
Empties trash containers and replaces trash bags.
Cleans toilets, restroom doors, floors and sinks
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
Smiles and is friendly when interacting with co-workers, guests and property employees.
Follows all required safety and standard operating procedures.
Adheres to all Umstead Hotel & Spa regulatory policies
Asks supervisor or other employees for help when needed
Is open to coaching and feedback from supervisor.
Weekends and holiday work is required.
