Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and reduce wait times
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and addressing guest inquiries promptly
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns courteously and promptly
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to hygiene protocols in the front-of-house area
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and positive communication
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience in food service or restaurant operations enhances understanding of guest needs and workflow
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and POS transactions
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously
- Knowledge of phone communication best practices and phone etiquette in a hospitality setting
