OBJECTIVE:
This position will be responsible for ensuring an organized and smoothly run grocery department. Primary categories included in the department are grocery, frozen, dairy, refrigerated, bulk and general merchandise. This position requires a strategic and hands on leader who can drive initiatives related to strategic planning for labor, operating expenses and capital spending as well managing staff, overseeing inventory, and elevating customer service to guarantee a positive shopping experience. Responsible for fostering an engaged, motivated and diverse team member base aligned with the company’s missions and values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Sound financial management skills to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability.
- Monitor and analyze sales and customer data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Staff Management:
- Train, and supervise department staff, ensuring that they provide excellent customer service and follow company policies and procedures.
- Implement operational policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment for staff and customers.
- Schedule and assign tasks to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance employee development as well as conduct 1:1 meeting with each team member once a month.
- Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee replenishment processes using reports and data.
- Implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize waste and shrinkage.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Departmental Operations:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies.
- Oversee merchandising and product placement to maximize sales and optimize shelf space.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in produce management or related retail management roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports and sales data.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Salary : $52,000 - $55,000
