Position Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and food items while delivering outstanding customer service. This role contributes to creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers and supporting daily shop operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and prepare beverages and food items to standard recipes.

· Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment with skill and safety.

· Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.

· Assist with stocking, inventory, and receiving deliveries.

· Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.

· Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive customer service.

· Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times.

· Assist with opening and closing duties.

· Collaborate with team members and support daily operational needs.

· Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

· Skilled in operating cash registers, point-of-sale (POS), and other business technology.

· Strong basic mathematical skills.

· Accuracy in handling cash, making change, and processing card transactions.

· Strong attention to detail when taking and fulfilling customer orders.

· Ability to operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment safely and efficiently.

· Effective time management and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

· Demonstrated teamwork, reliability, and a positive, professional attitude.

Education – Licensing – Certifications - Experience:

· Previous Barista or customer service experience preferred but not required.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

· Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Passion for coffee and willingness to learn.
