Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy using POS systems
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including basic food handling and serving food items as needed
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee industry preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in retail math or cash handling enhances efficiency in daily transactions
