What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time assistant teacher position at The TreeHouse Growing and Learning Center?
We are looking to hire part-time assistant teachers to work various afternoon shifts, in classrooms ranging from infants-preschool.
This is a great opportunity for high school and college students! We close at 6:00 each night and we are not open on the weekends!
We also work well around school and sports schedules.
Hours available are:
2:00-6:00
2:30-6:00
3:00-6:00
3:30-6:00
4:00-6:00
There is also the opportunity to pick up more hours to cover for teachers when they are absent.
Applicants will need to have a strong passion for working with children, have strong communication skills, able to multi-task, willing to learn, be flexible and work in a team-driven environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Caring for children ranging in age 8 weeks- 5 -old's)
Changing diapers (infants-two-year-old's)
Assisting with potty needs (mostly 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds)
Sooth and nurture babies and children
Engage in age appropriate games, crafts, activities, etc.
Assisting in carrying out afternoon activities
Supervising children while outside (1-year olds-5 year old's)
Recording each child's day on an iPad
Communicating with families about their child's day
Communicating with co-workers
Light cleaning at the end of the night. Following sanitation and disinfection procedures to ensure a clean and healthy building!
