Duties
- Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their energy levels and needs, ensuring proper leash handling and safety protocols.
- Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication if needed, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Monitor animals’ behavior closely, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort, and employing appropriate restraint or calming techniques.
- Maintain detailed logs of pet activities, health observations, and any incidents during visits.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ status and any concerns that arise during care sessions.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in veterinary settings, animal handling, or pet care facilities is highly desirable.
- Strong dog handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint and behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with dogs and cats.
- Knowledge of pet behaviors to ensure safe interactions.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of animal care.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and long periods of walking or standing during outdoor activities.
