QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience in social work or related field
-Bachelor's degree in social work (preferred)
-Understanding of VA benefits, ranging from eligibility qualifications to successful appeals and appropriate documentation.
-Experience working with families facing homelessness and those struggling with concurrent substance abuse or mental health issues.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain to clients, family members, friends, and professionals the case and care plan, and maintain good case records
-Clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists clients in developing goals and areas of need, and long-term plans.
-Work collaboratively with clients, families, counselors, and residential programs to ensure high-quality care
-Coordinate with third-party payors on a regular basis
