Administers game/practice details and manages participants, community service workers, volunteers, coaches, and spectators.
Keeps score at games and enters scores online, when applicable.
Responds to and interprets all questions/problems regarding rules and regulations during any athletic event; makes on-site decisions regarding crowd control, inclement weather, darkness, lightening, venue safety, etc.
Manages sports program set-up and tear-down at different indoor and outdoor venues ensuring that all facilities and playing surfaces are in safe and operable conditions.
Enforces sports-specific rules, league policies and procedures for assigned programs; provides recommendations regarding rules, policies, and procedures.
Encourages positive behaviors from the participants, parents, and coaches by enforcing codes of conduct and ensuring all participants abide by sportsmanship expectations; initiates disciplinary measures.
Responds professionally to questions, comments, or concerns; resolves concerns.
Manages emergencies/crises and may be required to perform emergency care.
Records important program information such as accident/ incident reports, community service worker timesheets, ejection/send-off reports and other communication as needed.
Exhibits flexibility, efficiency and sound decision making while performing work assignments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, certification and/or licensure required. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
Previous sports experience is strongly preferred.
Concussion recognition training is required within ninety (90) days of hire and must be renewed annually.

Ability to use conflict resolution to deescalate situations.
Ability to accept criticism.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions and the ability to issue clear, concise, verbal and/or written instructions and reports.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, team participants, community organizations, and the public.
Ability to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requires frequent use of general office equipment and an automobile.
Physical Demands
Requires regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, handling, feeling or operating objects, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Requires occasionally reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing. Requires moderate physical activity with heavy lifting, up to fifty (50) pounds. Requires close and distance vision acuity and the ability to adjust focus, allowing a broad field of vision.
Environment
Work is frequently performed in a climate-controlled office environment, but employees holding this position may be exposed to extreme cold or heat and wetness/humidity. The noise level is usually high and may range from moderate to extreme. The employee may occasionally work with or around hazardous items or hazardous conditions such as mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, chemicals, or radiant energy.

Full pay range for Sports Supervisor $16.00/hr. - $20.27/hr.

Salary : $16 - $20
