This employee will operate one or more of various production machines. Machines operated may include: lathes, mills, drills, saws, automatic welders, benders, punches, shears, flame cuts, hi-definition & plasma, laser, heat treat, shot blast, etc. As a cross-functional team member of this division he or she may also assemble components and perform other duties as assigned.

Machines operated may include: lathes, mills, drills, saws, automatic welders, benders, punches, shears, flame cuts, hi-definition & plasma, laser, heat treat, shot blast, etc. As a cross-functional team member of this division he or she may also assemble components and perform other duties as assigned.
What Will You Do?
- Read and understand 2D drawings.
- Work under minimal supervision while handling multiple job requirements.
- Utilize technical information from a variety of sources, including, conversations with engineers, equipment operators, and other tooling personnel, electronic and conventional technical documents.
- Inspect, operate, and help modify tooling.
- Initiate change requests to improve manufacturing processes.
- Use a computer to access the SAP system, keep departmental records and locate drawings.
- Be familiar with and have basic experience using mechanical repair and assembly tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- Have a good work record of safety, self-motivation, judgment and productivity.
- Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic mathematical skills.
- Be able to communicate effectively over the phone and before groups of people.
- Work well with others in both a team setting and one-on-one.
- Be able to regularly handle items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally handle items weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
- Able to use measuring tools (rulers, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring equipment, etc.) and hand or power tools (hand/air impact wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.).
- Be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Manufacturing plant conditions (indoors, with variable temperature and humidity, noise, and dirt). Occasional outside work.
- Physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, moving machinery, and materials handling.
- Working with hazardous materials, including solvents, oils, grease, and pressurized gases.
- Highly variable duties, workloads, and priorities. Changes often happen with little advance notice.
Salary : $17 - $21
