Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Example of Essential Duties:
- Prepare slides and package cases for send-outs
- Complete and maintain send-out logs for tracking cases
- Print and organize required documentation, including patient information, pathology reports, and supporting materials
- Enter and verify clinical information and ICD-10 codes
- Print draft pathology reports as needed for case preparation
- Receive and process returned materials, ensuring proper labeling and filing
- Enter pathology reports into the laboratory information system and ensure cases are completed accurately
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management to support departmental and operational needs
