Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and open tabs via POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu items to elevate the guest experience
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure prompt service without compromising quality
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns professionally and courteously

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales management
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently including cocktails, spirits, wine, and specialty drinks
• Culinary experience or food industry background is highly desirable for understanding menu components and food safety standards
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Knowledge of beverage service including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink presentation techniques
• Food safety certification or training in sanitation practices preferred but not required
• Experience with food preparation tasks such as plating or assisting in kitchen operations is a plus
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure seamless service delivery
