Technical Services
This is a second shift position, with regular hours of 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
Job Purpose: This position provides service to manufacturing operations through setting of all essential components for machines, including tooling, abrasives, gauging, and fixtures. The position is also responsible for calibration of gauges and maintaining gauges in the gauge management software and EGCs or set-up information in a manner that is suitable, adequate, and effective to the internal customer.

The position is also responsible for calibration of gauges and maintaining gauges in the gauge management software and EGCs or set-up information in a manner that is suitable, adequate, and effective to the internal customer.
Job Essentials
- Conduct critical PCM (Preventive Care Maintenance) for tooling and gauging functionality.
- Work with manufacturing associates to provide a high level of expertise to assure correct set-up methods and procedures using best practices and standardized work.
- Drive process improvement efforts to minimize set-up variation.
- Provide required training to ensure established procedures (best practices) are understood.
- Calibration of all gauges; Gauge management software maintenance.
- Pre-set essential components where feasible (gauging and tooling).
- Train other associates to be effective members of the Technical Services team.
- Team Participation - Routine involvement with a variety of plant teams focused on continuous improvement. Occasionally serve as facilitator of such teams. Regularly rotate to other tasks and assist team members in meeting Team Metrics.
- Continuous self-development of skills and business knowledge and the exercise of both.
- Safety - daily participation and involvement in individual and team safety responsibilities such as the Behavior Based Observation Program, housekeeping practices, chemical labeling, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Continuous Improvement: Generate and implement ideas for quality improvements and cost savings, including reduced labor, reduced process time, reduced consumable spending, etc.
- High school diploma or GED minimum
- Experience with grind, measurement instruments, tooling, and set-up preferred
- Problem-solving and trouble-shooting ability required
- Attention to detail and work accuracy
- Teamwork skills required
