Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for performing a variety of material handling tasks, including but not limited to forklift procedures, shipping and receiving, warehouse scale operations, and material coordination. This role will deal with repetitive duties, primarily associated with ensuring production orders are being fulfilled in a safe and timely manner. This may include receiving, sorting, staging, weighing, and distributing materials. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient workflow while adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards. Material Handlers may progress through three levels if they have met the required skills and qualifications for each role.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Follow detailed instructions of assignment including but not limited to; work instruction, blueprints, route cards, and verbal/written instructions.
- Accurately pick materials from designated storage locations using inventory systems and ensuring product is labeled with correct information in compliance with company standards.
- Weigh materials and verify counts to ensure accuracy in inventory and production needs.
- Ensure all products are put away in designated storage locations.
- Complete required documentation accurately, stage and align materials for production, verify data integrity, and ensure timely delivery to meet customer requirements.
- Utilize site SAP system to accurately enter and manage transactions.
- Operate forklift as needed to support inventory movement.
- Maintain adequate housekeeping, ensuring clean and organized work area.
- Must practice all safety procedures and complete necessary trainings related to job duty.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and support staff.
- Perform all other relative duties as required or as directed.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move stack load and unload products.
- Inspect forklift daily to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Regularly load and unload trucks to support inbound and outbound material flow, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods.
- Operate forklift with precision and care to safely transport heavy and irregular shaped components, such as augers throughout facility.
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically material handling experience.
- Must have the ability to operate forklift and obtain a certification or license on the job.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Willingness to learn SAP and develop job related skulls to support proper material handling.
