What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Server position at The Timbers?
Lively neighborhood bar that's looking for a skilled bartender to join our team! You'll have the opportunity to mix/serve drinks and food to a diverse crowd of regulars and newcomers alike, while working in a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. Bingo on Mondays, weekly raffles on Thursdays, great specials, fun atmosphere for badger/packer games, and more! We're looking for someone to join our team for every Friday night, 1-2 Saturday or Sunday day shifts 11-4, and pick up as desired.
Responsibilities:
- Mix and serve a variety of drinks, including beer, wine, and cocktails
- Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers to make them feel welcome
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Collect payments and make change accurately and efficiently
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Take and serve food orders
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines for food and beverage service
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bartender or similar role
- Passion for mixology and a willingness to learn and experiment with new drink recipes
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage with customers in a fun and friendly manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures related to food and beverage service
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Certification in bartending
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
