Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot software and repair equipment effectively. This role requires hands-on experience with hand tools and familiarity with computer networking, OEM specifications, and schematics. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our equipment operates efficiently and meets the highest standards of quality. We will train you on the specifics of software and equipment, but you must come with knowledge of xerographic and trouble shooting. Being able to operate the machines is a major plus. Pay scale will be based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment at in house print shop (one location).
- Troubleshoot software issues and provide effective solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to conduct repairs.
- Interpret schematics and technical documentation to diagnose problems.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology.
- Be able to look up and order parts for the various machines and keep an inventory.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair and maintain equipment.
- Proficiency in computer networking and IT systems.
- Familiarity with OEM standards and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
