Position Summary
The Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager plays a key role in helping The Texan maintain consistent, high-quality foodservice operations. This position supports the Foodservice Director with day-to-day tasks, Assistant Director of Food Service with training follow-ups, audits, communication, and operational organization across all store locations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and passionate about helping teams succeed by providing the tools, resources, and structure they need to operate at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Foodservice Director with daily operational, training, and organizational needs.
- Help organize and track foodservice initiatives, product rollouts, and process updates.
- Conduct or assist with in-store visits to observe, coach, and support kitchen and management teams.
- Prepare, print, and distribute all necessary signage, shelf tags, and employee name tags.
- Assist the Audit & Operations Coach with smallware orders within 24 hours of store submission.
- Run and analyze sales reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas needing improvement.
- Organize, update, and maintain BEK order guides to ensure accuracy and alignment with current menu items.
- Create, update, and adjust planograms to improve product placement, flow, and consistency across stores when assigned by Foodservice Director.
- Ensure all communication materials, prep sheets, par sheets and guides are current, consistent and sent to all stores.
- Collect and organize notes and photos for recipe cards.
- Communicate clearly with leadership and store management to ensure accountability and follow-through.
- Be a positive example of teamwork, professionalism, and The Texan’s values in every store interaction.
Reporting Structure
- Reports To: Foodservice Director
- Works Closely With: Assistant Director of Food Service, General Managers, and Kitchen Managers
- Collaborates With: Corporate team, Foodservice team
Performance Expectations
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate BEK order guides and planograms across all locations.
- Assist with smallware orders and signage requests accurately and within 48 hours.
- Provide clear, organized sales data and insights to assist with decision-making.
- Ensure training and audit follow-ups are completed timely and documented properly by Assistant Director of Food Service.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the foodservice program.
Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant operations, training, or management preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and identify actionable insights.
- Comfortable creating or editing planograms and maintaining order guides.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to travel between store locations as needed.
