Now Hiring: After Care Program Teacher – School Age Program
Premiere Childcare Center in McLean, VA
We are seeking an enthusiastic After Care Program Teacher to lead and oversee our School Age Program. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM, perfect for educators who are passionate about creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage children in a safe, supportive setting

Oversee daily program operations and ensure compliance with state licensing standards

Provide homework help and organize engaging activities

Manage classroom behavior and implement school policies

Transport children in a 15-passenger van when needed (valid license required)

Maintain Brightwheel app updates, vehicle logs, and other assigned paperwork

Ensure safety protocols are always followed

Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Applicant Requirements:

25 years of age or older
-
Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
-
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Willing to complete MAT (Medication Authorization Training)

Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed childcare program with school-age children

Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (preferred, not required)

Must successfully pass all background checks
