What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARTS AND SERVICE SALES REPRESENTATIVE position at THE TAYLOR GROUP INC?
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Generates sales quotes to customers for equipment & generator parts, service, rentals, and rebuilds on Taylor Forklifts & all generator makes and models.
- Quotes services in the field and works with all customer relations.
- Develop new customers in assigned territory while maintaining current accounts.
- Attending and working industry tradeshows and conferences to strengthen the company brand and develop customer relationships.
- Create and implement strategies for equipment & generator service and rental growth.
- Also, work closely with the Taylor Power System sales rep to develop a relationship with their customers to gain service opportunities.
- Work with other PSSR in NC for regional customer & business growth strategies unique to the territory customer base.
- Incumbent is to provide a detailed call report to the Sudden Service Manager weekly to discuss customer concerns and demands in the field.
- Maintains and submits accurate and timely expense reports to North Caroline Sudden Service Center Manager.
- Maintain & build customer business upon the N.C. Central to Western N.C. territory.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess tact and diplomacy with customer base and peers.
- Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, since employee will be driving company owned vehicle and will be covered under corporate insurance which has strict coverage requirements.
- Incumbents will be required on occasion to stay overnight at out-of-town locations.
Education and Experience:
- High School Education or GED equivalent
- Sales Parts/Service experience a must.
