Responsibilities
- Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using certified first aid and CPR techniques
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to maintain a secure environment for swimmers of all ages
- Conduct regular pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical checks, and ensuring water quality standards are met
- Assist guests with pool access, provide friendly guest services, and answer questions about facilities and safety procedures
- Perform routine pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, scrubbing tiles, and maintaining cleanliness of surrounding areas
- Support pool opening and closing procedures, including setting up safety equipment and ensuring all areas are prepared for daily use
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction throughout the season
- Help support swim lessons through out the camp day
Qualifications
- Valid lifeguard certification with current CPR and first aid training required
- Prior lifeguard experience preferred; willingness to learn is highly valued
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., moving equipment or supplies)
- Knowledge of pool maintenance and cleaning techniques is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Excellent guest service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Must be able to stand, walk, or remain stationary for extended periods during shifts
