Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are clearly communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales, utilizing knowledge of the menu and current promotions.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
- Manage reservations using OpenTable or similar booking platforms to optimize seating flow during peak hours.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to health regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience working in food service or restaurant environments is a MUST.
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems.
- Experience in serving roles with a focus on guest services, upselling techniques, and cash handling is desirable.
- Culinary knowledge or culinary experience can enhance your ability to communicate effectively about menu items.
- Strong time management skills are essential for balancing multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and food preparation practices is important for maintaining high-quality service standards.
