Job Description

General Manager — Fine Dining

Position Overview

We are seeking a visionary and highly disciplined General Manager to lead a premier fine dining restaurant committed to achieving Michelin-level distinction. This individual will serve as the standard bearer of hospitality excellence, responsible for orchestrating an exceptional guest experience, cultivating a world-class team, and driving operational precision across all areas of the business.

This role demands a leader who is equally present on the floor and strategic behind the scenes—someone who thrives in high-performance environments and understands that every detail, every touchpoint, and every moment matters.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Champion a culture of refined, anticipatory hospitality, ensuring each guest interaction is seamless, personalized, and memorable
  • Lead from the floor during service, maintaining control over the pace, flow, and tone of the dining room
  • Oversee VIP service, reservations strategy, and curated guest experiences
  • Uphold and elevate standards aligned with Michelin-level service principles—anticipation, discretion, and precision

Operational Leadership

  • Direct all day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless alignment between Front of House and Back of House teams
  • Develop and enforce standard operating systems that ensure consistency and execution at the highest level
  • Maintain uncompromising standards in cleanliness, safety, and compliance
  • Collaborate closely with the culinary leadership team to ensure a cohesive guest journey

Financial & Business Performance

  • Own full P&L accountability, including labor, cost controls, and revenue optimization
  • Analyze KPIs and implement strategies that drive profitability without compromising the guest experience
  • Manage vendor relationships, inventory, and purchasing strategies
  • Act as the key liaison between ownership vision and operational execution

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing leadership and service team
  • Build a culture rooted in discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Lead structured pre-shift meetings focused on product knowledge, wine education, and service alignment
  • Foster strong collaboration between FOH and BOH, ensuring a unified standard of excellence

Brand & Culture

  • Serve as the ambassador of the restaurant’s identity and ethos
  • Instill a mindset of relentless pursuit of excellence, where standards are consistently elevated
  • Build systems and training frameworks that preserve consistency across all shifts and team members

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a General Manager in fine dining or luxury hospitality (Michelin or equivalent strongly preferred)
  • Proven success delivering exceptional guest experiences in high-touch environments
  • Strong knowledge of wine, beverage programs, and elevated service standards
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with a track record of driving profitability
  • A hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the floor

Compensation & Opportunity

  • Base Salary: $120,000–$130,000
  • Performance Bonus: Significant upside tied to operational, financial, and guest experience metrics
  • Opportunity to lead a concept with clear Michelin-level ambitions, where performance and leadership can directly impact long-term recognition and success

Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role where the General Manager is instrumental in shaping not only the day-to-day operation, but the trajectory, reputation, and potential Michelin recognition of the restaurant.
