People, Culture & Development
- Lead the employee lifecycle from recruiting through offboarding
- Support onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll processing through Gusto
- Help managers create clear expectations, accountability, and development pathways for employees
- Build and improve performance review processes, compensation review structures, and growth planning
- Maintain and modernize the employee handbook, policies, and internal documentation
- Support leadership in creating a culture where employees feel empowered without being micromanaged
- Help develop scalable people systems as the company continues to grow
- Own critical compliance calendars, renewals, and operational deadlines
- Manage:
- Business registrations
- Insurance renewals
- Workers’ compensation audits
- Tax filings
- Client prequalification packages
- Credit applications
- Certificates of insurance (COIs)
- Oversee DOT and fleet compliance including:
- Driver qualification files
- CDL Clearinghouse requirements
- Drug testing compliance
- Support certified payroll processes for prevailing wage and OCIP projects
- Ensure updates to policies, safety documentation, and operational procedures are completed, published, and maintained
- Improve organization, documentation management, and operational consistency across the business
- Projects get completed instead of partially finished
- Operational deadlines are proactively managed instead of reactively addressed
- Employees understand expectations and growth opportunities
- Managers feel supported with stronger people infrastructure
- Compliance systems become organized, visible, and scalable
- Leadership gains confidence that critical administrative and operational details are consistently handled
- 5 years of experience in operations, HR, people operations, business administration, or office leadership within a growing company
- Strong project ownership and follow-through skills
- Experience managing compliance calendars, operational deadlines, or regulated business requirements
- Background in employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and policy administration
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable balancing people leadership with administrative execution
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to operate independently and bring structure to fast-moving environments
- Experience within construction, field services, logistics, utilities, transportation, trades, or other operational industries strongly preferred

Salary : $95,000 - $115,000
