What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Operations position at The Tabletop Group?
Vice President of Operations
Confidential, high growth multi brand QSR platform
Location: Miami or New York metro preferred. Heavy field presence.
If you love building operators, not just operating restaurants, this role is for you. You will partner directly with a Founder CEO to scale a proven, profitable platform across multiple brands and venue types.
The opportunity
We are a privately held, fast growing QSR group operating in non traditional, contract foodservice retail formats. We have strong product market fit, profitable unit economics, and an expansion plan that demands a next level operations leader.
We are transitioning from a founder led, hands on model into a scalable operating system with shared services that drive consistency, accountability, and durable value creation across brands.
The mission
As Vice President of Operations, you will build the field leadership bench and operating cadence that takes a strong platform to national prominence.
What you'll do
- Build the leadership bench. Hire, develop, and retain high performing leaders from General Manager through multi unit Regional leaders.
- Create operating rhythm. Establish clear KPIs, scorecards, routines, and review cadences that drive execution across markets and partners.
- Drive unit performance. Deliver results through top line growth and disciplined control of labor, food, and other controllables.
- Scale the playbook. Standardize systems, training, and execution while protecting what differentiates each brand and guest experience.
- Lead the field. Spend meaningful time in restaurants and partner locations, removing barriers and coaching leaders in real time.
- Operate across models. Balance corporate operated units and licensed or franchise heavy stakeholders with clarity and high standards.
The ideal profile
You are an operator and a builder. You have lived through scaling inflection points and know how to prevent breakdowns before they happen.
You likely have
- A track record scaling a concept from 50M to 150M plus in revenue or comparable unit growth.
- Deep multi unit leadership experience and a reputation for developing strong leaders.
- Comfort managing a portfolio of distinct brands, with strong judgment on what to standardize versus customize.
- Experience in licensed or franchise heavy environments with multiple stakeholder groups.
- A founder partner mindset. High ownership, low ego, fast learning, high standards.
- Strong field orientation. You can lead in a boardroom, but you do your best work in the restaurants.
Why this role
- Proven model. Profitable platform with a clear playbook and momentum.
- Real influence. Report directly to the Founder CEO and shape major operating decisions.
- Wealth creation upside. Competitive executive package with meaningful performance incentives and long term equity participation.
