Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and reliable Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting both clinical and administrative functions within our facilities, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures including sterile technique, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. ***Must be able to travel to both offices in Lewes and Dover.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures in both office settings, Lewes and Dover.
- Set up sterile field for procedures.
- Perform wound care, dressing changes and suture removals as directed by physician or nursing staff.
- Conduct basic life support procedures as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic charting.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical histories.
- Support outpatient services by coordinating patient flow and managing appointment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide medical administrative support, including managing inventory of medical supplies and equipment, and sterilizing instruments.
Skills
- Proficiency in clinic operations, including sterile technique.
- Knowledge of Mohs surgery.
- Strong understanding of wound care and suture removal.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures and outpatient care practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
