Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism at all times
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently utilizing medical scheduling software and office management tools
- Verify insurance coverage, process medical collections, and handle health insurance inquiries with knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Review and update patient records, ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and accurate documentation review
- Maintain organized medical records
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; handle appointment rescheduling and patient inquiries promptly
- Support clinical staff by performing clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, typing, and maintaining office supplies
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred
- Experience handling health insurance processes including Medicare billing and documentation review
- Excellent computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for administrative support tasks
- Proven ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive information efficiently
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on phone communication and patient engagement
- Office experience involving scheduling, clerical support, filing, and front desk operations in a healthcare setting
