What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Operations Manager position at The Suites?
We’re hiring: Operations / Construction Manager
THE SUITES | Multi-location real estate & development company.
THE SUITES develops and operates salon suite facilities across the Midwest, with a clear goal of scaling to 50 locations. This role exists to take projects from acquisition to Certificate of Occupancy - on time, on budget - without constant founder involvement.
If you’re someone who understands construction sequencing, can manage multiple trades, keep cities happy, and actually enjoys building systems that scale, this role will feel like home.
What you’ll be responsible for:
• Owning the full build cycle (roughly 20 weeks): demo, trenching, framing, MEP, drywall, finishes, inspections
• Holding contractors accountable to timelines, scope, and pricing
• Managing construction budgets, draws, lien waivers, and progress documentation
• Coordinating with lenders, architects, and city officials on permits, inspections, and COs
• Standardizing vendors and construction processes across multiple markets
• Creating and improving SOPs so projects run the same way every time
• Acting as the main point of contact for local partners and on-site teams
• Handing projects off cleanly to property management once facilities open
What we’re looking for:
• 5–10 years experience in construction management, owner’s rep, GC, or similar role
• Strong understanding of commercial renovation sequencing and budgets
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at once
• Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
• Builder mindset - you like creating systems, not just reacting to problems
• Willing to travel periodically to active projects (Midwest)
Compensation & growth:
• Base salary based on experience
• Performance bonuses tied to projects finishing on time and on budget
• Additional upside tied to project success
The mission of this role is simple:
Take every new facility from acquisition to CO smoothly, predictably, and professionally.
- If that sounds like something you’d take pride in owning, send me a message or apply here.
