Summary:
Lead and manage major engineering projects of significant complexity within defined scope
Make authoritative technical decisions and recommendations impacting large-scale engineering efforts
Apply advanced engineering principles, theories, and concepts using deep or specialized knowledge
Drive development of innovative solutions, methods, and technologies
Independently identify and implement process improvements to optimize product performance, cost, and schedule
Provide technical leadership and direction while working under consultative guidance
Develop and establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices
Plan and lead investigations into new or undefined technical areas critical to program success
Collaborate across teams to support program objectives and engineering excellence
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
13 years of experience in a specific technical discipline OR 15 years of broad engineering experience across multiple disciplines
Demonstrated expertise in solving complex engineering problems requiring innovation and technical leadership
Demonstrated advanced technical skills appropriate to the engineering discipline
Strong independent judgment, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s or PhD in Engineering or related technical discipline
Proven ability to lead high-impact, cross-functional engineering initiatives
Experience developing engineering standards and organizational best practices
