Summary:
Provides engineering hardware fabrication support, troubleshooting, testing, and basic laboratory operations.
Performs fabrication of electronic and electrical chassis and mechanical rack fabrication using development engineering drawings.
Performs evaluations, troubleshooting, and repairing of equipment and production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Integrates and cables rack assemblies.
Performs daily cable and harness techniques including wire cutting, stripping, cable prep and layup, connectorization, crimping, pinning, soldering, jacketing, braiding, molding, use of lacing tape and spot ties for open wire bundles, and testing.
Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
Operates related equipment and tools for fabrication and testing.
Conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format using lab equipment.
Builds, routes, and dresses Cat5e and Cat6 cables in a rack and tests functionality.
Conducts in-process inspections on product in accordance with quality specifications.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Ability to perform cable and harness techniques including wire cutting, stripping, cable prep and layup, connectorization, crimping, pinning, soldering, jacketing, braiding, molding, use of lacing tape and spot ties for open wire bundles, and testing.
Ability to work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
Ability to operate related equipment and tools for fabrication and testing.
Ability to conduct tests and report data in prescribed format using lab equipment.
Ability to build, route, and dress Cat5e and Cat6 cables in a rack and test functionality.
Ability to conduct in-process inspections on product in accordance with quality specifications.
Ability to perform fabrication of electronic and electrical chassis and mechanical rack fabrication using development engineering drawings.
Ability to perform evaluations, troubleshooting, and repairing of equipment and production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
Preferred: AA in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
