JOB TITLE: Aerospace Technical Designer 3

LOCATION: Everett, WA

PAY RATE: $48.25/hour

Summary:

• Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
• Develops, maintains and modifies interior payload system and component designs using 3D Computer Aided Design tools.
• Provides product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Supports customer configuration development, supplier engagement, validating and verifying design requirements, and integrating business needs.
• Assists in development of new design and analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
• Provides engineering support within a production or manufacturing system.
• Supports validation of compliance to regulatory requirements.
• Applies Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to payload systems and components.
• Utilizes CATIA for 3D modeling and design activities.
• Applies experience with Visual Basic, Python, Java, model based design and systems engineering, or relational design.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
• AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 years of experience in a technical field.
• Preferred: Associate's degree.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in technical design including modeling and technical integration, or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience.
• Preferred: 5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with CATIA for 3D design and modeling.
• Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria, and release processes.
• Experience working with technical requirements or technical writing.
• Experience working with Visual Basic, Python, or Java.
• Experience with model based design and systems engineering, or relational design.
