What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at The Sterling Choice?
Good Estimators are hard to find.
Good Estimators who understand underground utilities, heavy civil and pipeline work?
Even harder.
I’m working with an established infrastructure contractor looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team in Baltimore, MD.
This isn’t a “support the estimating team and see how you get on” type of role.
They need someone who knows how to build a bid properly — reviewing plans and specs, understanding risk, pricing labor and equipment, working with subs and suppliers, and ultimately helping win the right work.
The background I’m looking for is fairly simple:
→ Underground utilities / wet utilities
→ Water & wastewater infrastructure
→ Heavy civil / open-cut pipeline work
→ Pipeline rehabilitation / trenchless
→ HCSS HeavyBid
$150k–$175k
