Continuous Improvement Manager
Inwood, NY | $120,000
At some point in every Continuous Improvement career, the question becomes:
Do you want to improve a system, or build one?
This opportunity is for someone ready for the latter.
We're partnering with a global food production business that is investing in Continuous Improvement across its U.S. operations. As part of that journey, they're hiring their first dedicated Continuous Improvement Manager in the United States.
- There are no existing CI teams to inherit.
- No established playbook to follow.
- No legacy structure dictating how things should be done.
Instead, you'll work alongside operational leadership to create the roadmap, embed Lean principles, develop site capability and help build the foundation for what Continuous Improvement becomes across the business moving forward.
For the right person, this is a chance to move beyond project delivery and become a genuine architect of change.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, waste, safety and operational performance.
- Leading Continuous Improvement initiatives across a fast-paced food production environment.Introducing and embedding Lean Manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Conducting process analysis, value stream mapping and operational assessments.
- Working closely with operational leaders to prioritise and deliver improvement opportunities.
- Supporting change management initiatives and driving adoption across the business.
- Developing training, coaching and Continuous Improvement capability at site level.
- Helping shape the future structure of the CI function as the business continues to invest.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience within food manufacturing, food production, catering or similar high-volume operational environments.
- 3-5 years of Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Strong understanding of Lean methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Waste Elimination and Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience influencing stakeholders and driving operational change.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel when required.
Why This Opportunity?
Most Continuous Improvement roles involve joining a mature programme and working within established frameworks.
This one gives you the chance to help create them.
You'll have direct exposure to senior leadership, the ability to influence the future direction of Continuous Improvement within the organisation and the opportunity to play a key role in building a function from the ground up.
If you've already proven you can deliver improvements and are ready for an opportunity with greater ownership, visibility and long-term impact, we'd welcome a conversation.
A real opportunity to scale and progress with the role in a short space of time, if you're ambitions are to be a CI Director or more senior then this is a great route to achieve that ambition.
