Requirements
The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting the Area Director of Finance with the overall financial control function of the hotel. Specific responsibilities include:
· Perform all accounting functions in the event assistance is needed
· Effectively schedule, monitor, and evaluate departmental expenditures to stay within control systems
· Assist in producing financial statements within designated time frame for distribution.
· Verify compliance with Finance SOP Manual
· Participate in and critique asset inventories
· Preparation and knowledge of sales tax returns, as well as any other applicable tax liabilities
· Manage and oversee all Accounts Receivable functions, including collection calls as needed
· Ensure the A/R aging percentages are in compliance with SOP
· Verify credit cards are processed nightly by night audit
· Verify cash deposits are made in a timely manner
· Assist the Area Director of Finance with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts each period
· Review any problem accounts with the Area Director of Finance and adjust entries to the general ledger as needed
· Coordinate month end closing, prepare all required journal entries, perform analytical review of financial statements
· Coordinate annual internal/external audit processes
