WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Interface with clients and contractors during pre- and post-tender phases to build and maintain effective business relationships.
- Interpret customer bid requirements and independently prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and cost estimates for review and final submission.
- Oversee both administrative and field operations to ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Perform post-project cost analysis to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all construction activities meet established quality standards.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Comply with the State Group’s standards and operating procedures, including ISO 9001:2022 requirements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
- 15 years of project management experience in the electrical contracting industry, with 10 years in manufacturing or utility environments required. (MEP project manager experience working for a large GC will be considered).
- Proven ability to manage industrial construction projects from start to finish.
- Experience managing projects of varying size and complexity, from service/maintenance work to large, multi-discipline turnkey projects (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud and/or Procore.
- Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, Sage, or similar.
- Experience with financial/ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, or similar).
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience with QA/QC of electrical installations.
- Ability to identify project opportunities and develop business with new and existing clients.
